• Review from one of our clients

    Hi Olwen,
Many thanks for your speedy delivery, I only ordered yesterday.
I went to see your mum over 30 years ago when I was a teenager as I had burned my face when I was 10 and she had been recommended to my by one of the doctors in st Stevens hospital I think it was.
Anyways over the last 30 odd years I have tried this type of make up and that type but have to say yours is the best. I suppose we all see imperfections in our own faces whether we have scars or not, and even now 30 or so years later I still home in on my own imperfections so it's really nice to get some piece of mind and confidence in a little jar.
I included some before and after pictures sorry now but I am no beautician but it covers great I used the 13 and the 2a with my foundation and powder and it has lasted all day in a car in the baking heat with the window open.
Thank you so much and take care

  • Best anti-aging skin creams

Wearing a sunscreen every day regardless of where you live is the single most important thing you can do to help prevent the signs of aging. Ask any dermatologist.

Over time, repeated exposure to UVA and UVB rays breaks down the elastin in your skin (the stuff that keeps it plump) so you age prematurely because your skin can’t help but succumb to wrinkles and fine lines.

I won't bore you with all the science but trust me, I can write a more detailed blog if you like, let me know. At the moment in Ireland, we are enjoying beautiful weather and many people are planning their summer holidays. So if you don't usually wear sunscreen especially on your face now is a great time to get into the habit.

I use sunscreen instead of moisturiser in the morning. It's a good idea to put it on first thing in the morning and again before putting on your makeup, don't be mean with the sunscreen, the more the better.

I don't want to scare you but skin cancer is the number one cancer in Ireland and the world (

  • 2 Cheap Face Masks for great Skin care

Skin Care. Here are 2 really cheap and easy face masks which will do wonders for your complexion.

Try these first before forking out lots of money on branded masks. Avocado is a natural moisturizer and is packed with Vitamins E and C.

    Avocado Mask

This is a wonderful moisture enhancer for your skin, it couldn't be simpler. Mash up half an avocado and apply a thin layer to your face. Now it need to stay on for 20 minutes so take this opportunity to lie down and relax. After 20 minutes wipe off the mask and clean your skin with a warm facecloth. Job done.

    Honey Mask

    skin care

This honey mask purifies and hydrates the skin. Spread good quality honey over a clean face avoiding the eye area and leave for 20 to 30 minutes. Tap your fingers lightly on pores which you think may be clogged, this action helps unclog the pores.

If you acne or acne scars, you should apply some raw honey to the affected area and leave for 5 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Do this a few times a week.

  • How to feel less grey and pale

In case you're feeling a bit grey and looking like a ghost this January, I have a suggestion.

For the past year on and off I have been using Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow. Basically its fake tan in a bottle, but the thing that drew me to this product is the fact that it's in liquid form and you mix it with your moisturiser.

    How to Use

Firstly I instead of moisturising, I slather on as much sun screen as I can bear. It's recommended we use 3 tablespoons, which I think is too much for anyone but that's whats recommended. I put it on first thing, then have breakfast etc. Put some sunscreen on the palm of your hand and add 2 drops of Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow and mix.

You probably won't notice any tan for hours, it is quite subtle. So each morning you do the same thing and gradually you will build up a nice colour. It does have a bit of that biscuity fake tan smell but it's not too bad.

It comes in a 15 ml bottle for €24 or 30 ml for €38. The larger bottle they say is for the body but this is just a marketing ploy to make you buy the smaller more expensive one. The ingredients are the same for both. Any questions just ask. Hope you find this helpful.
